Our front of the meter (FOM) products encompasses energy market forecasting, market bid optimization, energy trading as a service, and battery storage management systems.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced salesperson to drive sales of our products in the ERCOT Texas energy market, leveraging deep industry knowledge and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders.
What will I be doing?
Sales and Business Development:
- Drive sales of our suite of energy-related software and hardware products specifically designed for the ERCOT Texas energy market.
- Identify, cultivate, and close business opportunities with utilities, energy providers, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Deliver sales presentations and product demos to potential clients, showcasing the value and advantages of our solutions.
Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Monitor the ERCOT Texas energy market trends, challenges, and emerging needs.
- Understand the competitive landscape and position our products effectively.
- Collaborate with the product and R&D teams to tailor offerings specific to the ERCOT market demands.
Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within the ERCOT market.
- Attend industry conferences, workshops, and seminars to network and represent the company.
Feedback and Continuous Improvement:
- Gather feedback from clients and prospects to inform product improvements and new feature developments.
- Work closely with our product and technical teams to ensure our software meets the evolving needs of the market.
What do I need to be a good technical fit for this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the energy sector, preferably with a focus on software solutions.
- Strong understanding of the ERCOT Texas energy market, its regulations, dynamics, and challenges.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and building client relationships.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools, sales analytics, and forecasting tools.

What’s this role about?
The following position will work within GridBeyond’s Market Optimisation team and will help GridBeyond provide its customers with a route to market to monetise flexibility and generation in all available energy markets and ancillary services. The role involves a close working relationship with our clients and our market Optimisation team requiring successful candidates to be involved in Optimisation and execution of trading strategies while ensuring all customer sites are responding to grid services. Successful candidates will also be involved in development of solutions, tools and reports whilst providing ongoing analysis of markets. This is a 24/7 shift work position enabling GridBeyond to cover ancillary and energy markets in Ireland, the UK, the US, Australia and Japan.
What will I be doing?
- Provide 24/7 monitoring on all our grid services live across the day for our diverse portfolio across Ireland, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia and Japan. Understanding what is happening, being prepared to act when required depending on scenario, understanding when an issue has occurred and what to do with it.
- Optimising our portfolio in ancillary services (frequency, reserve) and energy markets. Analysing market dynamics, defining short term trading strategies. Trade execution and both, financial and physical management of our asset’s positions.
- Support and drive GridBeyond’s entry into new ancillary services and power markets. Understand market structure, analyse potential opportunities and definition and execution of trading strategies.
- Assessing and dealing with alarms taking ownership and responsibility to solve them in a timely fashion.
- Dealing with customer requests (report config, setpoint changes, schedule changes etc).
- Support GridBeyond smart grid services; application processes, generating and carrying out weekly and real-time declarations, declaration analysis, dispatch management, site/application alarms and generating customer statements.
- Contacting customers to ensure we have dispatch and engagement info up to date and that customers themselves are ready for dispatches.
- Ensuring we are always ready to deliver a dispatch to answer the needs of the Grid. Having procedures and staff at the ready to deliver.
- Monitoring delivery performance of services on an ongoing basis and preparing performance reports as required by grid operators.
- Develop understanding of customer sites, assets, and control techniques for current live sites
- Reporting unit performance and alarms to business on weekly basis.
- Carrying out energy analysis on customer data to determine efficiency savings, site energy usage issues and additional savings opportunities for both Ireland and UK clients.
- Cite-See (GridBeyond’s head end controller) support for deployment team.
- Centre-See and Customer Portal configuration and support for existing customer base.
- Provide feedback to the development team on tools and services to assist with energy analysis.
- Assist in the development of clients net zero strategy across numerous industries.
- Assist with the integration and carbon impact of new renewable technology solutions.
- Assist in the development of feasibility studies.

What do I need to be a good technical fit for this role?
- Engineering degree (L7 or L8) or equivalent
- Understanding of trading, specifically energy trading a preference but not a requirement
- Good understanding of energy usage, energy billing across industrial and commercial retail buildings
- Interest in sustainability, renewable technologies, and carbon neutrality
- Experience of working a 24/7 shift roster a plus

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Embedded Systems Leader / Manager to Lead a team of Embedded Software engineers in the design, development, and building of embedded systems, including prototyping and support production. Collaborate with a US-based Project Manager to align on project priorities and timelines. Drive technical innovation, hardware-software integration, and compliance with industry standards.

- CodeSYS & Industrial Automation – Implement PLC logic, real-time control, and industrial fieldbus protocols using CodeSYS.
- Docker & Containerization – Deploy containerized applications using Docker, and lightweight runtimes for modular software deployment in embedded systems.

What qualifications or skills do I need to be well-suited for this role?
- Bachelor’s Degree (Minimum): Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field.
- Preferred: Master’s Degree or PhD in a relevant field for more complex projects or senior leadership roles.
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems and hardware design, including hands-on design and development.
- 2+ years of experience in team leadership.
- Demand Side Response (DSR) experience preferred.
- Proven expertise with embedded Linux development.
- Proficiency in C/C++. Phyton or other system programming languages is beneficial.
- Knowledge in Codesys.
- Familiarity with hardware debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and power analysers.
- Experience with safety-critical design and adherence to industry standards (e.g., ISO, IEC).
- Expertise in hardware validation, stress testing, and performance tuning.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and communicate technical concepts effectively.

Market Strategy Development:
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats related to Balancing Market, Wholesale Market, capacity markets and other flexibility services in Japan.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective market strategies aligned with GridBeyond’s business objectives.
- Monitor competitor activities and industry developments to stay ahead of market changes.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes, guidelines, and standards affecting the energy industry, with a focus on response and reserve ancillary services and capacity markets.
- Ensure that market regulatory risks are identified, and managed in customer contracts in line with company risk appetite.
- Maintain a regulatory compliance framework to ensure GridBeyond’s adherence to all relevant regulations, and communicate this to internal operations and sales teams.
Market Participation:
- Manage the company’s registration and participation in Balancing, Wholesale and capacity Markets as an Aggregation Co-ordinator.
- Manage the company’s participation in capacity market auctions, ensuring accurate and timely submission of bids and compliance with all requirements.
Project Management
- Project management of GridBeyond’s early customers, including site auditing, co-ordination with customers on market submissions, testing and support to customers troubleshooting.

Stakeholder Engagement:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, including OCCTO, METI, TDGC, JEPX, TSOs and other regulatory bodies, government agencies, and industry associations.
- Represent GridBeyond in industry forums, conferences, and working groups to enhance the company’s visibility and influence.

What do I need to be a good technical fit for this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in electricity market in Japan.
- Experience and understanding of the Japanese electricity market in general.
- In-depth knowledge of the Japanese energy regulatory landscape and capacity market mechanisms.

What’s this role about?
- The successful candidate for this role will be tasked with enabling GridBeyond to grow a portfolio of: Standalone and co-located utility-scale BESS and other generation assets; route-to-market and trading services; and, SaaS.
- Lead our Front of the meter propositions in Japan, participating in webinars, seminars and exhibitions, to grow our brand recognition and thought leadership activities

What will I be doing?
Responsibilities include:
- Understanding the opportunities across all available markets to maximize revenue for BESS target sector identified above in Japan.
- Develop and progressing a sales pipeline in Salesforce of existing operational and to be built assets in key states.
- Organizing face-to-face and remote meetings with key targets, and other market participants to enable sales success, especially BESS manufacturers and developers to forge strategic partnerships.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key decision makers and manage relationships with senior stakeholders using recognisable engagement mapping techniques such as Miller Heiman or equivalent.
- Support the wider business understanding the Japan Battery market and the required product evolution to support sales success.
- Work with your direct management team to originate PPA solutions to support business success.
- Build qualitative strategic account plans to clearly present a path to success.
- Supporting and progressing the development of market solutions in collaboration with key internal stakeholders.
- Ensure CRM system is fully updated and all information pertaining to sales leads and activity is entered at least weekly.
- Run through territory planning calls and weekly sales reviews from CRM database highlighting risks and opportunities from activity entered into the CRM system.
- Ensure that all monthly sales review material is in place for the Leadership team to evaluate at the monthly sales review.
- Identifying opportunities to create additional cross-offerings and synergies based on client /industry demand.
The successful candidate will also possess:
- A strong understanding of the Japanese UK energy markets, and experience of Power Trading would be a significant advantage.
- A proven track record of delivering results within the Japanese Energy industry.
