Role
- The successful candidate for this role will be tasked with enabling GridBeyond to grow a portfolio of Standalone, Co-located Utility-scale, Behind the Meter and Community batteries in
- Supporting our continued success as a market-leading aggregation & optimisation service provider.
- Australia is a fast growing market for Utility Scale Batteries and the successful candidate will sell the GridBeyond products and services to batteries utilized in other territories

What are we looking for
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Understanding the opportunities across all available markets to maximize revenue for BESS target sector identified above in Australia.
- Develop and progressing a sales pipeline in Salesforce of existing operational and to be built assets in key states.
- Organizing face to face and remote meetings with key targets, and other market participants to enable sales success.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key decision makers and manage relationships with senior stakeholders using recognisable engagement mapping techniques such as Miller Heiman or equivalent.
- Support the wider business understanding the Australian Battery market and the required product evolution to support sales success.
- Work with your direct management team to originate PPA solutions to support business success.
- Build qualitative strategic account plans to clearly present a path to success.
- Supporting and progressing the development of market solutions in collaboration with key internal stakeholders
- Ensure CRM system is fully updated and all information pertaining to sales leads and activity is entered at least weekly.
- Run through territory planning calls and weekly sales reviews from CRM database highlighting risks and opportunities from activity entered into the CRM system.
- Ensure that all monthly sales review material is in place for the Leadership team to evaluate at the monthly sales review.
- Identifying opportunities to create additional cross-offerings and synergies based on client /industry demand.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL ALSO POSSESS:
- A strong understanding of the Australia UK energy markets, and experience of FCAS and Power Trading would be welcome but not essential
- A proven track record of delivering results within the Australian Energy industry.
- A self starter who is able to work of their own initiative to enable business success
- Commercial aptitude, with experience contributing to business strategy by identifying and pursuing market opportunities
- The ability to effectively communicate complex information to a variety of stakeholders including those in sales and operational functions and most importantly to board level with actionable summary reporting.

Role
The primary purpose of the Sales Support Analyst is to provide support for sales and marketing activity – translating our highly targeted Marketing approach in to meaningful conversations with potential clients and partners. This includes market research and analysis, internal sales coordination, customer relationship management, sales administration and support, and other functions related to direct and indirect sales.
What are we seeking
The candidate shall support several sales personnel by driving the internal sales process including:

What are we looking for?
We are seeking a creative developer passionate about building excellent software. This candidate will work in our Controls team, working in an agile development environment and contribute to GridBeyond’s Smart Grid Platform development through programming, analysis, design, implementation, and delivery of software applications. The candidate will use best industry practice to meet business needs and will be core to the development and delivery of solutions for GridBeyond’s customers and clients. The candidate will work closely with the System Architect to get an understanding of the technology and the domain.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Develop software applications as part of our Virtual Power Plant platform – focusing on the layer where our backend controls platform interacts with SCADA / PLC systems on the customer site.
- Responsible for programming, implementation, documentation, maintenance, and support of systems application software in adherence with GridBeyond’s standards, processes, and best practices.
- Work with other team members to collaborate on the design and implementation of system functions.
- Document software programs per Software Development Best Practices.
- Contribute ideas to help ensure that required standards and processes are in place and actively look for opportunities to enhance and innovate solutions and improve process efficiency.
Required Experience and Skills
- Strong knowledge of energy domain principles; kW, kWh, frequency, voltage
- Interest or understanding of automation or control systems principles, feedback / feedforward loops, set point level control, PID, PLC’s, SCADA, digital signal processing such as low/High pass filters, frequency, or time domain functions.
- Any programming experience and a desire to develop this skill set further, preferably C#, Java, VB.Net or similar.
- Strong analytical background
- Ability to innovate and develop new approaches to complex design problems.
Technologies Used

Role
- The successful candidate for this role will be tasked with driving GridBeyond’s continued growth within behind the meter flexibility markets in the UK.
- The roles primary focus will be to secure new business within key C&I sectors, monetizing flexibility through ancillary services, capacity market and wholesale trading.
- Work closely with the business development team to strategize and effectively target new customers for each of GridBeyond’s key growth deliverables: Ancillary Services, Capacity Market, Funded Solar / Battery, Multi Sites, Risk Management & Net Zero
- This will be achieved through sector specific targeting and strategic account targeting, utilising account plans with top 10’s continuously worked and recycled, supported by marketing and business development teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Understanding of how you optimise flexibility across all available markets to maximise revenue, monetise flexibility, arbitrage and energy risk management in the UK, Further a high level of understanding of the associated support schemes such as the Capacity Market.
- Directly developing, managing and taking ownership for the sales pipeline
- Market engagement, organizing sales meetings with prospects and clients, key stakeholders, and other market participants to influence and identify opportunities to win Utility scale battery contracts to GridBeyond.

We are seeking an experienced senior developer with a proven track record in the design and development of applications for scalable, secure, stable, and high-performing applications. This candidate will join GridBeyond’s Development team engaging with stakeholders, product and project managers, and members of the development team working in an agile development environment and will contribute to GridBeyond’s Smart Grid Platform development through research, analysis, design, and delivery meeting the evolving needs of the business.

What are we looking for
We are seeking a creative developer passionate about building excellent software. This candidate works in a team of developers working in an agile development environment and contributes to GridBeyond’s Smart Grid Platform development through programming, analysis, design, implementation, and delivery of software applications. The candidate will use the best industry standard tools to meet changing business needs and will be core to the development and delivery of solutions for GridBeyond’s customers and clients.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Take the role of a Senior developer in the Controls and Energy Services team to develop products that serve business opportunities in current and new markets, while evolving and iterating on existing solutions
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, Product, and project manager to collect and document technical requirements and identify the key needs, suggesting the best solutions to meet these.
- Implementing Energy services business logic and Transmission System Operator (TSO) integrations, ensuring application designs support the overall technological strategy of the business and platform evolution
- Document software and work with stakeholders in the handover and delivery of applications.
- Working with the Team lead to identify opportunities to improve the existing architecture, recommending the incorporation of new technologies and approaches where appropriate team.
- Contribute ideas to help ensure that required standards and processes are in place and actively look for opportunities to enhance and innovate solutions and improve process efficiency.
Required Experience and Skills
- 5+ Years working as a Senior Developer.
- Demonstrable success in designing and developing high availability, high performance, scalable applications.
- Extensive experience with object orientated programming in C#, the .Net stack, Entity Framework and API Services
- Strong experience with databases such as MS SQL. and and Azure SQL.
- Understanding of design principles for cloud-based platforms and cloud development experience with Azure
- Experience working in an Agile product development environment
- Excellent communicator (written and verbal), comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders
- Analytical and passionate about problem-solving, system design, and software development
- Ability to innovate and develop new approaches to complex design problems
Technologies Used
- Technologies: .NET Core/Standard/Framework, SQL, Data lake, Event Hubs, Redis Relational databases, Microsoft Azure, SCADA, REST, and SOAP APIs.
- Tools: Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Azure SQL GIT, Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud, Windows Server.
- Core Programming languages: C#
- Bonus points: Working knowledge of python, Azure IoT
What you will have
A qualification in the Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Management Information Systems field is highly desirable.
The following experience would be advantageous but not a requirement:
- Experience with multi-threaded/ Async applications
- Exposure to automation or control systems / PID / SCADA
- Experience working in an energy-related industry combined with a passion for energy sustainability and innovation
- Knowledge of protocols such as MQTT, ICCP, OpenADR, FTP/SFTP and other standard protocols used within the Energy industry
- Knowledge of standard communication protocols such as MODBUS is a bonus
- Knowledge of energy domain principles; kW, kWh, frequency, voltage

Role
- You’ll be part of the pioneering team building GridBeyond’s PPA business across the UK & Ireland
- Developing GridBeyond’s PPA market solutions, including managing external relationships and working with internal stakeholders
- Working with Sales team to build and manage GridBeyond’s PPA pipeline, progressing PPAs from origination to execution, to deliver target PPA growth
- Providing first class account management to GridBeyond’s PPA generators
- Working with internal stakeholders to manage the operational processes associated with the PPA portfolio
- Developing Innovative PPA structures where by generation, storage and/or demand flexibility is utilized to manage Wholesale risk
- Researching and analyzing the PPA market and working with the Trading, Market Strategy functions to develop new products and services for PPA generators and propostions to sell this generation to GridBeyond’s existing & new Industrial customer base.
- Building and developing strategic analysis of the target market and sectors and delivering propositions based on this analysis serving GridBeyond’s customers including renewable generator and Industrial / Commercial customers.
What are we looking for
- Experience in an Origination role for PPA sector;
- A strong understanding of PPA valuation including embedded benefits and wholesale and imbalance risks;
- Strong network in the UK and Ireland renewable sector and a good understanding of the UK and Ireland renewable support schemes and associated certification;
- Experience of the operational processes involved in managing a PPA portfolio;
- A strong commercial mindset with a track record of delivering deals which add value;
- Proven ability to manage the full PPA acquisition process including Origination, Due Diligence, Negotiation, Execution and Onboarding;
- Demonstrable experience of building and maintaining effective working relationships and partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders;
- Ability to understand customers’ needs and requirements and translate these into profitable solutions;
- Ability to monitor and analyse market developments;
- Great communication skills with the ability to thrive in international working relationships.
- Self-driven and highly motivated with a deal-hunting attitude;
- You’ll be working fairly autonomously in a ‘start-up’ type environment so you should be comfortable with being a self-starter and upwardly managing; and

What you will have
- A strong commercial background with a strong understanding of UK and Irish electricity markets;
- Experience with PPA structures, origination and operations;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – able to confidently present sophisticated/technical concepts/outcomes to a wide variety of stakeholders including engineers, managers and directors;
- Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, master’s degree preferable though not essential;
- Ability to influence and negotiate with both internal and external stakeholders;
- High levels of integrity and self-reliance, demonstrating knowledge of industry best practices;
- Strategic thinker, with operational delivery capability;
- First rate customer management skills, coupled with strong listening and communications skills
