I&C talked, Endeco listened and is breaking down barriers to demand side response through simplification
Endeco Technologies, the award winning demand side response aggregator, recently presented their latest webinar to Edie.net readers. Entitled “Is there a better way to participate in demand side response?”, the webinar explored the barriers many I&C businesses find in taking part, and de-mystified the sometimes illusive demand side response market through simplification.
Wayne Muncaster, Managing Director of Endeco Technologies, commented “There is a huge amount of complexity in the marketplace. We don’t hide this from our clients, but the reason we exist is to simplify that complexity into a single programme, multiple activities, all managed within a single platform, delivering savings and revenues.” He continued “The biggest complaint we hear about demand side response is that for every person they speak to, they hear a different story. Endeco brings together and explains how those stories all fit together and provides the expertise and platform to enable whichever schemes work best for the assets on site. In what is already a complicated topic, specialists in particular areas of demand side response really haven’t helped to provide a rounded explanation of the market.”
Endeco’s simplification approach seems to have shaken the market somewhat. Where specialists have found a single National Grid scheme to focus on and shoehorned the assets of I&C energy consumers into that scheme in order to generate revenue, Endeco’s high end platform and engineers have the ability and experience to work across all schemes. Endeco’s focus is always on finding flexibility: the capability of on site assets, operations profile, and matching it to the right scheme. This not only means absolute operational integrity, but maximum returns and optimised revenues and savings stacking.
Whilst this may sound more complex, it actually means clients get to understand exactly what the demand side response market is. It also means that no matter which schemes a client is participating in, everything is managed via one central platform and can be reviewed and accessed via a single portal.
Endeco launched this explorative webinar as part of the ongoing education programme. The programme aims to provide the industry with additional simplification by breaking down complex energy related topics through a library of resources designed to enable better, more informed business decisions.
