Cold Move, was looking to participate in demand side response programmes, which included National Grid’s balancing services and price optimisation, by using the inherent energy flexibility within their refrigeration assets.

Thanks to the collaboration, each 100kW unit has the potential to generate in the region of £5,000 for the client, which transforms cold storage from being a cost-centre, to having the ability to impact business profit.
