GridBeyond appoints a Vice President of Revenue to support expansion plans in the North American energy markets
Energy asset optimization company, GridBeyond has appointed Joe Hayden as Vice President of Revenue for North America.
Joe brings over 25 years of senior sales leadership experience managing teams across multiple sectors, including electronics, wireless networks, IoTs solutions as well as highly sophisticated automation solutions to the electric utility, security and LED lighting industries. Prior to joining GridBeyond, Joe lead the ERCOT market as GM and VP for CPower. He also orchestrated nationwide channel partner agreements with top integrators in the US such as JCI, Siemens, and Convergint Technologies while leading sales initiatives with AT&T, Exxon, NIH, and Infinity. Joe received his Marketing degree from Texas Tech University.

On joining GridBeyond, Vice President of Revenue for North America Joe Hayden said:
“The US market has enjoyed a very stable utility grid over the years, but since the push to add intermittent renewable assets to the mix, while very positive for the obvious reasons, each new renewable MW of generation is adding complexity to the reliability and cost equation for electric consumers. These infrastructure changes are changing the way, both digitally and physically, that users and their assets will have to respond to these quick and ever-changing conditions. GridBeyond is a good few years ahead of these changes having gained significant experience operating, literally and figuratively on islands, in the UK and Irish markets, which arguably began this transition many years before the US.”
Wayne Muncaster SVP North America at GridBeyond added:
“GridBeyond is growing at an increasingly fast rate across the North American energy markets, and we are delighted to have Joe joining our team at what is an incredibly exciting time for us. His experience and knowledge of the energy sector and it’s challenges for North American businesses will be crucial to support our expansion plans, while we look at building on our relationships with I&C customers, retailers, utilities and energy asset owners in North America over the coming years”.
