GridBeyond appoints Yuta Yamahara as Sales Manager for Japan
GridBeyond is pleased to announce the appointment of Yuta Yamahara as Sales Manager for its Japanese subsidiary.

The year 2025 marked a period of significant growth for GridBeyond in the Japanese market. During this time, the company successfully commenced power trading in the balancing market – including Frequency Containment Reserve (FCR) – and the Japan Electric Power Exchange (JEPX) by leveraging multiple grid-scale batteries and co-generation facilities at large-scale manufacturing sites. Furthermore, GridBeyond secured dozens of contracts for grid-scale battery storage systems this year.
To meet the continued growth expected in 2026 and to provide cutting-edge services to clients across diverse industries, GridBeyond is further strengthening its sales structure. With Yuta’s appointment, the company will accelerate the delivery of optimal solutions for both grid-scale batteries and demand-side energy resources.
Yuta expressed his determination in his new position, saying, “I am delighted to offer GridBeyond’s advanced solutions in the energy industry, a field characterized by continuous technological innovation. Leveraging my practical experience gained in the energy storage device industry, I am committed to meeting our clients’ expectations and contributing to their success.”
“With his extensive experience in B2B sales and project management, including providing efficiency solutions for data center operators, Mr. Yamahara will provide robust support to our clients in optimizing grid-scale batteries and demand-side assets, as well as achieving their net-zero targets.” said Atsushi Ito, Managing Director of GridBeyond Japan.
