GridBeyond Joins Industry Pioneers at Frost & Sullivan Awards Ceremony, and Picks Up the Prize for 2019 Technology Innovation Award for Excellence in European Demand Side Response

On Wednesday 20th March at Royal Garden Hotel in London, GridBeyond joined influential technology leaders and visionaries at Frost & Sullivan’s Best Practice Awards ceremony, where the company received the 2019 Technology Innovation Award for Excellence in European Demand Side Response.

Winners were selected by a panel of experts and analysts through the independent, ten-stage evaluation process and competitive benchmarking. This included extensive analysis of the company’s industry impact, scalability, financial performance and customer acquisition.

Through the rigorous research process, Frost & Sullivan identified that GridBeyond consistently pursues and invests in new technologies, enabling the company to serve its customers more effectively and grow above the industry average.

GridBeyond were in good company on the night, with other winners including Valeo (European CV Aftermarket Supplier Company of the Year), Bosch (European Customer Management BPO Technology Leadership Award), Tata Communications (Global Hybrid Cloud Services Product Line Strategy Leadership Award) and Testia, an Airbus Company (Non-destructive Testing Services).

Jeff Frigstad, Global Sr. Vice President, Best Practices, Frost & Sullivan explained “Our Awards program has now been in existence for more than eighteen years,” he continued, “These Awards come from the rigor used by our talented team of 2,000 thought leaders from over 50 global offices working with over 200,000 clients, to locate the best.”

Michael St Leger, Head of Sales at GridBeyond, who represented the company at the event and commented during the acceptance speech “We would like to thank the panel of judges and experts at Frost & Sullivan for recognising GridBeyond as the leading energy technology company in Europe, and our partners for their integral role in the development and implementation of our intelligent energy solutions.”

By receiving the Award, GridBeyond joined the Frost & Sullivan Hall of Fame, the group of awarded, best-in-class companies.

Michael St Leger continued in his speech: “The recognition of our achievements in the European market validates our ambition to never stop striving for excellence and innovation in our services. 2019 will bring significant developments and further expansion of our business, and we are truly excited to kick it off with this highly respected award.”

Experts from Frost & Sullivan forecast the company’s expansion and further growth of its market position in their award write-up, explaining: “From an economic perspective, GridBeyond is expected to maintain its market leadership position for years to come based on high revenues generated from the GridBeyond Technology Platform, effective site utilisation, and low carbon footprint”, said Frost & Sullivan in the Award’s justification paper.

The experts highlight the dominant position of GridBeyond in the European demand side response market by pointing out its advantages against competitors:

“GridBeyond stands out from other DR providers in generating new revenue streams for customers without requiring them to change their onsite hardware, as its solution is technology agnostic, vendor independent, and tailor-made based on the customers’ business size and types of assets.

“Furthermore, as DR in Europe transitions from a centralised market to a more localised market, the GridBeyond Technology Platform will prove highly valuable due to its ability to offer asset-by-asset and site-by-site analytics, reporting, and benchmarking across every area of energy management and demand-side response.”
