DFS – Funding generator emissions abatement
GridBeyond is working with its clients to provide market access to winter DFS.
DFS has a guaranteed acceptance price of £3,000/MWh (£3/KWh) for flexibility, so capacity priced within that threshold will get all of those events. However, participants can set prices higher than the threshold if they wish to.
Assets such as diesel generators that do not meet the criteria to be able to participate in programmes such as the Capacity Market may be able to take part in DFS.
We can then ring-fence these revenues to provide a turnkey service for abatement and subsequent market entry in the long term into other markets, enabling your generation assets to earn revenues beyond the time frame set for this programme.
