GridBeyond Announced as Finalist for S&P Platts Global Energy Awards

GridBeyond are delighted to be announced as a finalist for the S&P Platts Global Energy Award in the Grid Edge Category.

Each year, Platts receives over 200 submissions from more than 25 countries and the prestigious awards ceremony takes place in December in New York.

The Grid Edge category aims to recognise innovators throughout the entire energy system who are advancing the electric grid to most effectively link utilities to customers. Converting grid disruptors to grid enablers requires revolution in myriad forms, from power producers to novel regulatory structures and policy framework all the way to the ultimate consumer interface.

GridBeyond were shortlisted for the Grid Edge award for the hybrid battery and demand network, which enhances overall flexibility of an aggregated portfolio of assets whilst enabling additional flexibility to be unlocked on any given load site. Some of which managed to uncover an additional 65% load flexibility for participation in demand side response programmes and energy services. After years of development, this technology was the world’s first of its kind and continues to be unique to this day.
