GridBeyond Wins Smart Technology Innovation Award at it@Cork’s Leaders Awards 2018

GridBeyond, the leading energy technology and services provider, won the Smart Technology Innovation Award at the Leaders Awards 2018. The company was selected for the award for driving change in energy markets through their innovative smart grid technology, including the development of the world’s first hybrid battery & demand network.

In addition to the it@Cork Award, this year, GridBeyond were awarded ‘Company of the Year’ by Building and Facilities News, and shortlisted in a further five awards including the prestigious Energy Awards 2018, Edie Sustainability Leaders Awards 2019, S&P Global Energy Awards.

The it@Cork Leaders Awards is an annual event recognising the best companies in Cork’s thriving IT community, organised by a leading not for profit independent organisation representing the Tech Sector in the South of Ireland. From global multinationals to schools and start-ups, the awards recognise those who have gone further than most in the use of technology in their respective organisations and businesses. This year the awards were held on Friday 19th October at Rochestown Park Hotel in Cork.

The judging panel for this years’ awards included experts from Blizzard, PepsiCo, KPMG, VMware, Investec, Trend Micro, CIT, Qualcomm, National Software Centre, Cork BIC, Poppulo, Enterprise Ireland, Dell EMC, Cork County Council, Tyndall, Malwarebytes, and Teamwork.
