GXO’s engineers have established flexibility in their usage for energy & carbon savings, revenues and sustainability. DSR (Demand Side Response) creates opportunities to earn revenue by supporting National Grid in times of peak demand or system stress. By implementing this intelligent energy technology, cold stores respond to grid events in the fastest time (unlocking the highest revenues) whilst operations remain uninterrupted.

GXO is leading the way in deploying pioneering strategies to improve a range of energy-related cost efficiencies across all their sites. Acting as a Virtual Energy Manager, GXO engineers track various critical parameters to optimise a site’s overall performance & reliability.
