GridBeyond and Michael Phelan Announced as Finalists in S&P Platts Global Energy Awards

We are delighted to announce that for the second year in a row, GridBeyond has been selected as a finalist in two categories in the 2019 Global Energy Awards.

The first category is the Grid Edge award. The judging panel recognised GridBeyond for their Intelligent Energy Technology Platform, Point. Point simplifies the complexity of the energy markets and delivers maximum value and efficiencies for clients and partners. The Point platform harnesses the power of machine-learning technology, providing a wide range of services, including:

• Dynamic asset optimisation

The second category is the Chief Trailblazer of the Year. This is for Michael Phelan, Chief Executive & Co-founder at GridBeyond. The award recognises inspiring leaders and visionaries who drive change in the global energy markets and empower organisations through innovation.

“This award is in recognition of courage, perseverance, dedication, ethics and the ability to bring about real change for the better at a company level, in the industry as a whole, and in the lives of employees”, said the judges in the Awards criteria.

The S&P Global Platts Global Energy Awards, established in 1999, are often described as “the Oscars of the energy industry”. They highlight corporate and individual innovation, leadership and superior performance in 21 categories spanning the entire energy landscape.

This year Awards Ceremony will take place on 12^th December in New York, United States.
